I promised a photo update of our trip nearly three weeks ago, low and behold there is still no update. Life has been a little bit crazy though and many things have changed and shifted. I plan on doing the update soon, but first a little bit of news.

I haven't updated because I've moved and we just got our internet back on today. I couldn't be more pleased about it really. Also, a dear friend visited recently and and that also kept me very occupied. So, between moving, entertaining, and lack of internet, I haven't had time to do much of anything.

At least I have more energy right now and the new place is in walking distance of a lot of pretty nice things. It keeps me busy and distracted. I guess distraction is good right now to some extent.

Oh, as a side note. I felt the baby move during this past week. Not the gentle tiny flutterings of before. But genuine movement. The little bugger gets active at night and during car rides and then finally settles down. It's a weird sensation, one I can't describe well.

Note to the D&D group: D&D will most likely not take place this Sunday, but the Sunday after. After that we should play two to three times every month unless issues arise. Can't wait to see you guys.

I seem to have the worst luck possible when it comes to concerts and events. Recently we decided to take a trip and settled on New Mexico for camping and general fun. We've spent a decent amount getting ready for the trip and the days off are granted. So, I'm sorely disappointed that I only found out today who Anime Expo has as their guest of honor.

It seems that Japanese Supergroup S.K.I.N. will be doing a concert along with some other bands. Most of which I don't really care about. I only found out about S.K.I.N. this morning, but you can bet your geeky ass that I want to see them.

What on Earth would make Koronae want to actually go to an ANIME con? Why would Koronae want to go see a group that she has only recently found out about? Oh, I don't know. Maybe because it's made up of Yoshiki (X-Japan), Gackt (lol), Miyavi (Dué le quartz), and Sugizo (of Luna Sea).

While I've never been a huge fan of Dué le quartz, I have always dug Miyavi's solo work. I've always enjoyed Gackt's voice and got a huge kick out of Malice Mizer. I've also heard enough of Luna Sea to know that I enjoy them.

I have seen quite a few Japanese acts at this point, and sadly this concert is pretty much the motherload. It's the jrock fangirl wetdream. Could I honestly go if I pulled enough strings and ran up a retarded amount of debt on a credit card. YES. Will I? No.

Could I cancel the trip to New Mexico and use the rest of my cash to spring for a plane ticket, con admission, hotel, and concert ticket. Then wait in line for several hours while wanting to die from baby and bladder explosion?

No. As much as I want to, I need the money that hasn't been spent for our current trip. I am pretty disappointed that I'm going to be missing out on this. Ah well, I suppose it's better that some J-rock Queen FanFaggot gets to go. After all, I've always been a pretty damn casual J-rock fan. :[ Most of that is due directly to said J-rock Queens.

Today I bought a new Camera. It's a Canon Powershot A640. It's 10 megapixel, 4x optical zoom, made of love and win, and it also has a 2.5 inch flippable view screen. I suppose if there is any reason to start a journal, this would be it.

This journal will mostly be filled with pictures, geekery, and general nuttiness. Not to mention pictures of geekery and general nuttiness.
